Appointment of a new CEO

The closing date for applications is 6 December 2023.

The Constituting Member appointed specialist local government executive search firm Leading Roles to seek candidates for the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Groote Archipelago Regional Council, and will preferably commence by no later than February 2024.

The CEO will assist the Constituting Member to transition staff and assets from East Arnhem Regional council, appoint staff to the new positions that are required by the Council, and develop appropriate

policies and procedures ready for the commencement of operations, once the election of the Council members is finalised.

East Arnhem Regional Council has allocated a house in Angurugu as the CEO’s residence.
