Once established, after elections have been held on the 26th October 2024, the Council will be focused on providing its services to the residents of the Groote Archipelago.

Situated in the remote northern region of Australia, amidst the pristine waters of the Arafura Sea in the Gulf of Carpentaria, our council serves seven indigenous communities within the Groote Archipelago.
