rates

How rates are determined

Rates are determined annually by Council during a budget consultation process. This process considers a number of factors including:

  • Provisions for increasing service costs
  • Capital works
  • Consumer price index (CPI)
  • Initiatives

Council's aim is to keep increases to a minimum while generating enough income to continue to provide services and achieve annual objectives.
